RAYC Volunteer Honorary Treasurer Required

The Royal Artillery Yacht Club is fortunate to be run entirely by volunteers, and few have contributed more than Major Colin Walsh. For over ten years, Colin has served as our Honorary Treasurer, providing exceptional dedication, professionalism and stewardship of the Club’s finances. On behalf of all members, we would like to thank Colin for his outstanding service and commitment during a period of significant growth and development for the Club.

As Colin now wishes to step down from the role, we are seeking a volunteer to take over as Honorary Treasurer. This is a key committee position, helping to ensure the Club remains financially sound and well governed while supporting our sailing, racing and social activities. The role typically requires around 10 hours per month and can be carried out remotely, with attendance at quarterly committee meetings and the AGM.

If you have experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping or business management—or simply possess strong organisational skills and an eye for detail—we would be delighted to hear from you. Full handover support will be provided by Colin. To find out more, please contact Colin at colin.walsh2@aol.co.uk by 3 July 2026. Further details of the role are available in the RAYC Treasurer Job Description.
