Eleven boats, 35 Gunners and 15 fiercely contested races combined to make the Royal Artillery Yacht Club’s 80th Keelboat Regatta, held at Seaview Yacht Club on the Isle of Wight from 7–9 July 2026, a memorable celebration of competitive sailing and regimental camaraderie.

After three days of close racing as part of the 2026 Inter-Regimental Victor Ludorum competition, 100 Regiment emerged as the overall winners, claiming the coveted title ahead of a strong field of crews representing Regiments from across the Royal Regiment of Artillery. Throughout the regatta, sailors enjoyed excellent conditions, competitive racing and the warm hospitality for which Seaview Yacht Club is renowned.

Now in its 80th year, the regatta once again showcased the Royal Artillery’s enduring sailing tradition, bringing together Gunners from across the Regiment for three days of exciting racing, teamwork and friendly rivalry. The event concluded with the traditional prize-giving following the final races on Wednesday afternoon.
