Despite a last-minute scramble to assemble a team, including two novice crew members, the Gunners delivered an excellent performance in two days of competitive dinghy team racing. Facing particularly challenging wind and tidal conditions, the team won an impressive nine of their twelve races, securing a well-deserved place in the final.

Up against a very strong REME A team, the Gunners were unfortunately unable to take the top spot but finished with an excellent second place overall. Even more encouraging was the enthusiasm of both crews, who are already looking forward to further racing opportunities. Hopefully, this result marks a turning of the tide for Gunner dinghy sailing!
